yay!!
i graduated... got my dregree...its around here somewhere...maybe over there.... ah..there it is..!

yup i graduated from my first degree. yay me!!

took a while to get here. i barely realise the acheivement..
my aunt found it funny when the ppl on stage said we should thank our family for thier support.. as my family think they deseve no credit... i did it all on my own with no support..

so yay.. though its sad that very few understand the depth of my acheivement...i dont push my circumstances on others. that the mountain i climbed was not a hill like others had, who could practically buy their degrees, or their families could.

and here i am up for another degree. masters this time.. n damn it i mised the info session on the fullbright scholarship... could have studied at a prestigious uni in america..

i have no idea what to do with myself at the moment.
in between waiting for my Masters course in Architecture to start, and picking up a few design projects...
i'm trying to keep my fitness up to par for when i get back into martial arts this year.Doind 2 different ones last year took it out of me, i was doing 6hours a week of strenous training. so i'll need all the fitness n energy i can get. i lost 20kilos last year, and am now floating around 90kilos...to the point where i'm now worried i'll get flabby bits, cos i'm losing so fast. i think i'll need to up the weight training to help keep tone as the weight drops. if i go as good this year, i'll probably also drop a weightclass in comp...

i look forward to this year, i'll be able to explore my interest in bamboo or something of equal fascination, for my thesis.

i'm still getting bookings for lifemodelling, which is good. They keep telling me i'm their favourite, or the best they have, and the students look forward to my sessions. and it keeps the wlf from the door as they say.
i'm trying to push into melbourne this year, but everywhere says they need you to be a member of the life model society, and they(LMS) never get back to me...so we'll see about that one...

my goal for last year was: work experience. got it
do a push up. couldnt at start o' year. now can do 20military ones
pass my final subjects. done with distinctions

2008 wrap

Wow, looking back 2008 was a great year for me:)! I worked in my industry n gained invaluable experience. I passed my classes with distinction, which means i now have my degree, and this year i start my masters. I toned up so that i am 2" smaller at every statistic, i lost over 15kilos, am stronger n fitter. Yet i never dieted. I came 4th at the panpacific bjj comp in september. Got my next belt in judo. I can do 20 full pushups where in 07 i could do none.

And now for the good news...

Wow today is great:) what happened 2 autumn? I feel like its still the christmas holidays. I dont know if its the weather, or just my life. Had archi job interview yesterday that went well, and lunch with boy. He thinks im huggy and awesome:):$ My favourite dress is fallin off me. But i still get checked out in it. Must be the curves:). My dentist mentioned i lost weight, since she saw me 3weeks ago. I hav 2 more places for modelin work, My reputation is great. And one student wants 2 paint my portrait:)

Well. That was fun. Wore a long dark green dress n long coat with leaf pattern decoration, empire line. Got loads of comments bout How fabulous/stunning/gorgeous i looked, 2 the point where i started 2 worry it was 2 much, considerin the standard of the others. Got 2 rag on banshee, always fun. & when they only come 4 reception, spend almost all the nite outside not talkin 2 each other, & she wears the bridal colour, knoin full well what it is, well, expect 2 b derided.

Ok, so im going 2 a wedding in sep, the invite says formal. How dressy is that? Am i lookin for stuff like at the races, or school formal? Cocktail, ball? I know part of my outfit, but do i go with a knee length skirt, or floor length? And should it be the same color as the top? All gold? Or gold top n pink skirt. Such is my conundrum. Any suggestions? Bear in mind i am short n curvy.

everything in my life is on track...

mum called me this afternoon however, couldnt wait to tell me in person tomorrow.
apparently her father died this morning.
mum doesnt know what to feel/doesnt feel anything
i have no idea if i should be upset, angry, confused, blah, no idea. i had a bit of a cry, couple of tears when i finished phone call with mum, and have been distracted since.

the funeral is friday.
not sure if i will go.
though i have offered to drive people if they wish to go, cant have the travelling distance or lack of car stopping them. more for their benefit than mine if they wish to go that is.
i still havent decided if i will actually attend the funeral, the wake, or wait outside.

her father being my grandsire, grandpa whatever.. those words dont roll off my tongue these days.
i usually refer to him as linked to someone else..."mums dad", "nanna's ex-husband"...
its a discipline ive developed over time
neither mum me or my brothers have seen his face since prolly 95, i cant remember exactly.
we didnt associate with him.
considering if my brothers saw him, even when practically a vegetable in nursing home, they would have beaten him up.

he has been persona non grata in our family, well for most of us, since 95. or thereabouts.
reason being he was sexually assaulting my cousin when she was 3/4/5. but thats her story to tell, not mine.
what pisses me off is that he had assaulted me when i was 9, was kicked out of the family, then managed to worm his way back in, and ends up attacking my cousin. and most people, cept for my immediate family, my uncle, and my cousins mother, have pretty much forgotten bout my experience. if they had remembered maybe she wouldnt have been attacked. they were the guardians of the family, of the children. they were responsible for keeping them safe.

the family that associates with him, my one one aunt and her kids, is his executor. my nanna visited him when he had a stroke when i was bout 16/17, because she promised his mother she would take care of him. i think thats a load of rot, and i wish i could slap her bout the head for holding to that. sure take care of him while he screws you over to drink away the rent money and you have to 'cut and run' to another house again. take care of him while he beats you to a pulp. right. get a grip woman. you need a priest to order you to leave him, but you let him hang around and be part of the family for years afterwards, when he has shown bugger all loyalty to said same family. i would have ignored my greatgrandmothers wishes, she's the one who spoilt her little baby all his life, so he never had to sort out the shit he got himself in. when your 60 and you still expect mummy dearest to sort out your problems, its time to grow up, you sad sad individual.

part of me feels i should still like him, care about him, feel some kind of loyalty. part of me thinks, even now, that maybe it was my fault, i did something to warrent it. part of me wants to forget it ever happened and get on with life, another wants to scream and attack him.

i am still wrapping my head around being told by three members of my family when i turned 18, in one-on-one situations "its amzing you made it to 18, i thought what with everything, you would have killed yourself years ago" :I that quote surprised me at the time, seeing as such things never really occured to me, finded a O.D'd body will let you see the other side of that equation. but with the current thoughts, maybe i can see where they would have gotten that idea.

saturday, post funeral:
well a handful of kinda obligated people went, 6/30 potential family.
we still had my brothers birthday party. it was fun. we had icecream cake.
i am still wrapping my head around the issue. it will take some time, having been re-awoken, i'm going to have to reassess the whole thing with an adult rather than childs mind.

Mentor meeting. i ended up having Sean Godsell (http://www.seangodsell.com/sga.swf) as my mentor for the year. Will have to see how that goes. Either way, it will be interesting. and i will be making more trips to melbourne.
Get back to geelong, and walk strait into a screening of Pirates of the Carribean. Was enjoyable, got home about 1, packed a little.

Went to a Scout Trivia night with friends.
our table won, i picked up a new lamp.
more importantly, wiped the floor with ex-housemates table. teehee.
someone on that table was a bit miffed that he lost, though he did know answer to a really obscure question. So he got his Buzz game from parents, and we played that till 3am.
though he was rather rude to people, so he could play it. They were not pleased, i can tell you.
i won all but 1 of the music games, and came a close second on the general ones.
teehee, got to wipe floor with other ppl.:)

Got told by hm, that he organised cleaners 2 come next monday- and i hav 2 b out by then. The lease ends a week later. So now i hav a week 2 find a place, not 2, and startin from scratch, as i didnt get the kfc 1. I hav 2 important assignments due next week, class, mentor program, pikin up mums car. Now How am i meant 2 get it all sorted in time, plus get a place. Prick didnt even bother consultin me b4hand 2 c wen is convenient 4 me, and waited all weekend 2 tell me. Prick, bastard, crap

While we're waiting for those, heres another:

FAMILY:
always appreciate your family, they didnt choose to go through life with you, yet they continue to stick around. This doesnt mean one should take them for granted, or live their lives for them, but do let them know that you appreciate what they do, or feel, and not just on a special day of the year, all year.

on the other hand, just because someone is related to you by blodd, that is no reason to put up with horrendously bad behaviour. tell them you dont like it, or remove them from your social circle. Ancient Tribes would exile a transgressor, it was one of the worst punishments going at the time, as no-one would acknowledge your existence or give you sucour.

FRIENDS:
friendship isnt something you get from another, its something you give. Someone who covets what you have, and will step over you to get it, is not a friend, but a self-indulgent, two-faced user. DO NOT be friends with these people. If you are unfortunate to have experienced one, dont let them back into your life, they havent changed, they rarely do, and you WILL get bit again.

If you are poor/sick/mad... Its cos you angered god.
-basically blame the victim for their situation. not admit that theres a problem with your society. think the aquisition of the commons in england, put alot of ppl on the streets. but no its not the rich peoples fault for wanting more land n more money, its the poors fault for being kicked out of their home and not having food to eat. little historical tidbits like that.
